Micky Taromaru, The Wardrobe Project’s Founder
I grew up in Miami, Florida, and moved to Orlando after college. My first career was as a public school teacher, which opened my eyes to how many kids struggle with basic needs, like having enough clothing. That experience planted the seed for The Wardrobe Project, where I want to help kids feel confident and cared for.
These days, I work as an event outfitter and decorator, especially for children’s parties, which has allowed me to keep my focus on creating joy for kids and families. With The Wardrobe Project, my goal is to bring the community together to make sure every child has access to essential clothing and personal items.
